Yesterday, we watched "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale"
I didn't like it, so I might as well spoil it under the cut.
It was not my idea to watch it. But houbeardad, waytru, Kent and I went to Marq*E to watch it. I was cringing while watching the whole movie.
The dialogues are horrible. They were trying to do everything from comedy, action, LOTR-ish fights, Star Wars-like scenarios (3 battles in different locations).
What's good was that it was an all-star cast: Burt Reynolds, Jason Stotham, Ray Liotta, John Rhys-Davies, and others. The costumes are great.
I am so disappointed because with all those veteran actors, they failed so much in delivering. Just my opinion.
Stotham was doing the "Transporter" style of fighting. And there are Ninjas! Ninjas during medieval England! WTF? Joan of Arc was there and her character was so insignificant in the movie. And Stotham was magically bound books. Get it? Book bound?!
Okay, okay, okay. It's scifi fantasy, but this was really stretching it.
I was at the verge of walking away from the movie. It was as bad as Waterworld, or The Postman.
I want my money back.
