I am reading the 3rd book of The Order of the Stick. It's a satire web comic for fantasy role-playing games. They are all in stick drawing and it's all fun to read.

When I was young, we used to spend nights playing Dungeons & Dragons. My first character was a human thief, then an elf. We expanded to different games like Star Frontiers, Top Secret, Marvel Super Heroes, Star Wars and many more. We seldom played in college though.

E. Gary Gygax, the creator of Dungeons & Dragons died a while ago. He is the reason all these fantasy and scifi RPGs and the world famous WoW came about. May he rest in peace.

In the Order of the Stick #536, the author, Rich Burlew did a tribute to Gary Gygax.

I was always a PC RPG person. My first true RPG was the D&D Forgotten Realms Pool of Radiance series that came out in 1986ish. I had Pool of Radiance and its 3 sequels, Curse of the Azure Bonds, The Secret of the Silver Blades, and Pools of Darkness.

I then did the D&D Dragonlance Series, Champions of Krynn, Death Knights of Krynn, Dark Queen of Krynn.

It was also this time that I got Ultima 3, my first ultima game, then doing 4 and 5.

The series that consumed my most play time was the Might and Magic series all the way through Heroes of Might and Magic.

I dabbled in the post-apocalyptic RPG like Wasteland, but it didn't hold my attention. I was soon back to Phantasie 3, Castle of the Winds, and Wizardry (5,6,7,8).

Of course I've been nonstop-WoW for the last 3 years.

OMG those games are so familiar.

I did play WoW in 2005. I stopped coz it's very time consuming. Besides, I need a better machine to play it again.

Wow! You're a serious gamer!

I love Order of the Stick! Ive been reading it since nearly the beginning. One of my favorite webcomics. He does well with making great jokes and an interesting storyline while still managing to use a ton of text without being boring or annoying.

It is amazing. Gary, my friend who was upstairs TCP last Sunday night, lent it to me. I'm enjoying it a lot! It brings back memories of my RPG days and the funny things we used to do. :-)
