This is the geekiest LJ post I've ever seen!
But it's so much fun! I had fun deciphering it.

I had to write some code to cipher/decipher the stuff.

I'm stumped with some of their ciphers.
I need to sit down and think about it.
I can't at work. :-(

Some of their ciphers are a bit quirky, although the ones I saw look like a play on vigenere cipher. I didn't try to decipher any of em.

They are Vigenere ciphers, but they don't all use the same cipher alphabet.

that would make sense ;-)
I tend to like playing with y^2 [ + x·y ] = x^3 + a·x^2 + b ;-)

Here's what I did for the main message...
I copied the octects to Excel, A1 to A(whatever).
B1=BIN2DEC(A1) copy across...
C1=CHAR(B1) copy across...
D1=C1, then D2=D1&C2 copy across...
E1=last cell in row D

I also wrote some code to solve them. I hand-encrypted my (first) multilayer response.

Did you need another hint?

Hehe, I would've so been all over that if I had any coding skills whatsoever. ;p

I just came back from New Orleans. I haven't gone through the code. I'm still intrigued in deciphering it. :-)
